Bowmore 14-year-old Bordeaux Cask is a vibrant and fruity Bowmore single malt whisky matured in ex-bourbon American oak casks and finished in Bordeaux red wine barriques.
This Bowmore from the appellation collection is fruity. Notes of Black Forest gateau with ripe cherries and salted caramel as well as a hint of pine nuts and sea salt are very present here. The nose reveals subtle notes of peat smoke paired with a gentle sweetness of caramel and honey. A subtle maritime freshness completes the bouquet. The palate is soft and complex with notes of dark chocolate, citrus fruits and a spicy oak note. The finish is long and pleasant with a perfect balance of smoke and sweetness.

Notes of browned leather, moist blackcurrants and fennel seeds, plus hints of campfire smoke and a little ginger. Sweetish with accents of chocolate cake, Demerara sugar and salted walnuts. Gentle oak notes follow. Persistent, smooth, smoky and pleasantly sweet.
